omg. 2daes children's day celebration was not as good as last year's. what happened to the saying practice makes perfect?!??!?! haven't the teacher's learnt how to make the show as funny as possible?!?!?!?! BUT mr teo and mr seah looked hilarious as babies. their heads are too big for their baby suits. they looked un-proportionate.mr seah was giving this wierd face when ms tang, the devil, was poking him. his face moved so much that his bunny ears dropped off!!! =) it was funnier when ms tang tried to put it on for him, but it dropped off when mr seah continued making the faces. the devils stick that ms tang was using was the one that mae was using to poke ms poon... i think. lemme describe the entire performance in detail.
the first act was this shadow projecting thing. the teachers explored their creative side and they were to dress up as diff characters. everyone guessed mr ho the moment he stepped on stage. it was funny.
next was the project runaway series. the teachers dressed up for the event they were modelling for. there was one teacher who wore this really, really low cut top with long pants. she used a shawl to cover her back, and then, when it was her turn to model, she started loosening the shawl, and showing her bare back to everyone below. everyone started mumbling and the hall was really noisy.
after that, the crazy female teacher, who, accordding to kimmy and trishh, was dancing at the national day parade, and this malay teacher sang a duet. endless love by robbie williams. the male teacher was accasionally out of tune. the female teacher was fairly good, during the times when we could hear her. the music was scratchy. not that clear. the male kept covering his ear. must have been his singing.
following that, was the GEP teacher's performance. there was this big black cardboard that covered mr teo, ms poon, mr seah, mrs sng, ms lim sy and holding the board up, was ms ker and mrs. li. standing at the the side was mdm ang peng peng, huang lao shi, mdm loe, mrs lau and lin lao shi. at the end of their performance, they started trying to do the cancan. they failed. miserably. trust me. it wasn't nice. but funny. very funny. everyone was laughing. haha.ha.
that was the last performance. now, we were looking forward to the presents. we went back to class, with no teacher to toment becos we were walking back to class ourselves.
we got many presents. ms lim sy gave a goody bag that consists of maggie, a clip and a packet of cola sweets. ms ker gave a laminated card and a goodie bag made out of napkins!!! that is so.. artistic. ms lim ch gave precious thoughts magnet. ms poon gave a flower clip and a card. ms tan gave a card,with a peg, and a pen. mr teo gave me 3 m'n'm. mrs sng gave us stickers with our names on them!!! that is so cool. ms tang gave us a ice cream stick with a hand-made star on the top. zhang loa shi gave us the same brand of pen that mrs chin gave and sweets. (pls notify if i have left out any teachers)
we watched twilight kitchen during art and through english, which mrs sng very nicely gave up. she only had one period.
the day ended with mr teo bringing us to the GE resource rm. yiming cheryl and me beat mr teo at rush hour!!!
it was a nice day. mae and i went to bother all the teachers and ended up chatting with them till 4.10

WE SERIOUSLY WON A ROBOTICS TROPHY
2dae was the collection date for our NJRC prize. christina and her mom fetched me from united square and sent me to science center. while waiting for them, i ate my lunch, all i did while they ate lunch at macdonalds was watch them eat, and nibble at a few of her french fries. when they had finished lunch, we went to explore the science center for free since christina's mom has this membership card that allows her to do that.
we finally went into the hall for the winners, and they told us that we would not know what prize we would win until we were announced at the stage... in the meantime, we just sat around, while the lady at the front of the room was trying to get us to share about our learning journey.
sitting behind christina and me, was these two boys from queenstown secondary who were holding up signs that were hurling abuse at each other. they were " i'm next to moron-> " and " i am next to idiot<- ". later, one of them held up a sign that said " i am stupid" and we were like... what? and then , he flipped the sign, and there was the words " he's worse ". then , the other guy held up the sign that read " i am idiotic" and he turned the paper around and that side read " he is much worse". the other guy, to pay him back, wrote " hard gay->", and smiled. the other guy was scared, and admitted defeat.
me and christina found out that one of those silly guys played maple, and was only lvl 20++!!! and he was much older than me....
finally, we queued up for the award ceromony. we queued up in rows of three groups. as our group was last, we thought that we were gonna be awarded with a third prize of something... when the first team in the row was announced, with 3rd for website design... we were like" what if we got first?!?!?!?!" and we DID!!!!!!!!!
WE WON A ROBOTICS PRIZE...
i lvled up again 2dae...I AM SO HAPPY!!! anyway, i finally learned toe art of pq-ing. for those ppl out there hu do not noe what pq-ing means, it means party quest, which is a very good way to help u lvl up faster. ks-ing means... it means that some one took the objects that fall out of the monster u kill.
as usual, christina c. and i were on the phone talking while playing maple... when she realized that we had been playing and talking over the phone for over 3 hours. i then requested for us to talk through whisper on maple, which is a way of communicating with a specific fren that is online, and wishes to speak to you.
about 10 mins later, christina calls, and tells me that ms. lim sok yen just called and told her that our team was to go to the prize giving presentation on Sat!!! i started screamling, when my pq leader finally got in, and i had to start concentrating on my game... such a short-lived happiness.
my mom came out of my room to see what i was screaming about, and berated me for playing maple since the morning. haiz...parents..they care too much
UM... THERE IS NO TITLE
i have abosolutely nothing to say today, so i will write rubbish. :) i lvled up in maple 2dae. not vry happy. if i trained harder, i would be able to lvl up at least 2-3 times.so...sigh.
no one talked to me on msn or any of my online communications though. so i was quite lonely when i was resting and took a peek at the people who wanted to talk to me on msn, IMVU and gmail, and found nothing. sniff. so if u are reading this, and have one of the listed above chatiing devices, please talk to me. thx.
o. ya. kimberly finally talked to me on gmail. finally. i have added her for over a month. and she is never online. but i went to play maple, and wen i came back, she was offline. so sad.
y can't any one stay online until i go offline. it is not really very late u noe. only about 1am, sometimes 12am. i mean, for those who stay up late, just wait a few minutes more.
NJRC (national junior robotics competition) 2DAE
[this post is a bit long. i had a lot to say]
it was the competition day today. the robotics girls were supposed to meet in school at 7am and leave at 6.30pm today. i reached school slightly past 6.30, and found christina chin and her mom wandering around the dark and eerie canteen. we waited for another person to come, and proceeded to the 4th floor staff room. the person was Yun Teng. the staff room was dark, but u could make out the outlines of the tables that we see so very often. we were so scared that a teacher would suddenly pop up fome somewhere and scare us. we were freaked out anyway, and ran down the steps to the canteen, where the lights were finally switched on by the security guard, who reached school much later than most of the robotics girls.
after all of the GEP robotics girls arrived (with the exception of Jessie, who said that she would meet us there, and Gloria, who was late) we all went up to the 4th floor staffroom, under the instructions of ms lim sok yen. the staffroom was still dark, but the sun's ray's helped. suddenly, there was a movement. we though that it was ms lim, and banged on the door... only to find out that it was not ms lim but 黄老师. we caught another movement. now, it was ms lim. we went in and collected the nessecary items.
we boarded the bus without gloria. ms lim made me leave a message on the number that gloria left with her. i sat next to clara. smiley little clara, sweet little clara.
FINALLY we reached the Science Centre. take note that i shall not describe it in too much detail as it is extremely late right now, and i am rushing. we entered the quarantine area, where we would be quarantined during the competition. the teachers and parents and trainers had to leave before the quarantine started. the quarantine area was this HUGE room with 100++ booths connected to each other in 2 collumns of 10 and 2 rows 10(i think). we had to decorate our booths, and there was an award for the best booth design.
my team had no scetches so we just went with the flow, and did what first came to mind. our final design was quite nice (from my POV). it would have been placed under the 'colorful abstract art that seems to have been made out of the spur of the moment, but turned out ok' category. we made a graffitti board and sold mentos. when the judges came to our stall, we had finished eating most of our mentos, cos no one was buying them. so, i took out the titbits that i had bought for my own consumption, and pretended that we were selling things in that catagory. the judges almost bought one of them, but decided not to, after feeling how squashed it was(my bag had no space). we used cling wrap as posters and stuff cos christina c. brought this gigantic roll of cling wrap that never seemed to end, no matter how much we used.
our programming did not work, neither did the other GEP group.therefore,we both had a BIG FAT ZERO for our total score. hehe. a bit embarrassing no doubt. but only 36 teams, out of 140 teams had more than 0 for their score. my group's robot was as filmsy as a peice of paper. according to the people who went into the competition field, our robot's motor dropped off, into the water, when it dropped off the ramp, along with our RCX. we had 'forgotten' to wrap the RCX with cling wrap cos we could not connect the wires with the cling wrap on. anyway, u noe that it was a failure, so u dun need me to say anymore.
i bought this really nice NJRC souvnieur. which was a keychain. a glass block, with the njrc logo burnt into the center with laser. when it is switched on, red and blue lights would blink.i bought one, and showed it to clara, who then bought one too! christina stood behind us, sulking that her mother would not let her buy one, and would nag at her if she did.
by the end of the day, at around 4pm, we were all playing with the balloons and bursting them, when a second round of judges came, and we were all scrambling to put the balloons up again. teh judges came, and they went, and we were laughing.
we went back to school, with a lot of balloons. crystal started decorating mine with cute animals, and i started decorating my other balloon by copying crystal's animals.they tuened out quite...ahem...nice.
anyway, the results will be known later, a few days later.
BALI TRIP. JUST CAME FROM THERE.

Anyway, Bali was really nice. the beach was just amazing. the food delicious. the ambiance...mesmerizing.
we boarded the plane, after a muched rushed packing of our clothes and necessities being thrown into a luggage. i watched The Da Vinci Code but, did not finish watching it. the flight was too short.
We arrived at Bali late in the afternoon. we spent the rest of the day aimlessly. my family and i met the tour group for a seafood dinner. it was by the beach. quite a nice feeling, eating, laughing, drinking, at the beach, so calm, until we came...
the next day, my family and i went with a tour group to an elephant safari. we didn't ride the elephants cos we are going to Thailand in December Hols. we ate a buffet lunch there. out in the open, where we could see the elephants bathing. After the lunch, we watched an elephant show. the elephants sprayed waters at us. it was fun. wet. hilarious. everyone ran to the side when the elephants sprayed us.
finally, our holiday ended. we boarded the plane, i finished watching The DaVinci Code, reached my home, and played maple, did msn, and watched tv.
I was enjoying myself when i remembered robotics was tomorrow. my stomach started getting the jitters, and i felt queasy... when i remembered MCDONALDS!!! that was just outside the Science center. i am gonna buy that. yay!!!
